May 14th is the deadline for OWTS Operating Permit Inspection Reports to be submitted to the city. We are City of Calabasas Registered Septic Inspectors.
The ordinance provides detailed permitting provisions for the construction of a new Onsite Wastewater Treatment System (OWTS) and the repair of a failing system. The ordinance also requires City of Calabasas property owners obtain an operating permit for all existing systems by May 14th and:
- Inspect their OWTS within two years of the Ordinance
- Submit a site map showing the location of the system
- Comply with the operating permit requirements for City of Calabasas required OWTS maintenance and or repairs
- Renew the operating permit at up to five-year intervals
