We are a licensed California Septic Contractor, CA State Contractors License # 897916. We have extensive experience in conducting percolation tests, designing on site wastewater systems, and installing septic tanks and both engineered and non-engineered leach fields. We specialize in hillside seepage pits and hillside leach fields.
We design onsite and domestic wastewater treatment solutions for residential and commercial clients with unique on site wastewater treatment and disposal requirements. Malibu Septic focuses on designing and installing difficult on site wastewater and storm water treatment systems for clients with specialized needs.
Our engineers have designed many types of wastewater systems including: on site septic systems, on site wastewater systems, advanced wastewater treatment systems, micro septic systems, Title 22 reclaimed wastewater systems, and wastewater systems for new developments. The majority of the systems we design and install are for residential hillside projects requiring creative approaches to accommodate our clients' building program. Our innovative custom installations are engineered both to maximize land use and provide as efficient system as possible.
We will meet the customer on their site to discuss their needs and how they foresee the development of their property. We educate the customer on the various types of systems which may fit their onsite conditions and determine their potential waste water flow rate.
The focus of the initial meeting is to determine site locations for the tank, piping and septic field which will be acceptable to the homeowner and meet our design needs.
The second onsite task is the soil evaluation process. We either excavate a test pit around 8 feet deep in several areas or drill 2' diameter testing bores where the septic field will be installed. A soil profile is then developed and recorded. Soils samples are collected and sent to a soils testing lab to determine the sand, silt and clay content. With that information and our excavation experience and the science based flow rate charts we determine the linear loading rate. Basically this tells us how much wastewater we can safely load onto each square foot of the septic field so it can work efficiently.
Once we determine the daily flow rates from the home and how many square feet of septic field are required to disperse the wastewater then we can develop a plan and a quotation for the project.
Malibu Septic, Inc. will provide a written exact quote for several different systems which the customer can review and discuss. Once the system is agreed upon an installation timeline is established and the project is booked for installation and completion.
